KYB RS Ultra Performance Shock Absorber
Built for Stronger, More Stable Performance
The KYB RS Ultra is a high-performance shock absorber designed to handle tough road conditions while delivering superior ride comfort, stability and control. It is an excellent choice for highway driving, MPV/SUV applications and vehicles frequently carrying heavy loads.
During braking, the RS Ultra helps reduce nose diving, pitch and roll, giving drivers a more controlled and confident driving experience. Its durable construction and advanced shock absorber technology are designed to provide reliable performance even under demanding driving conditions.
The RS Ultra features hardened chrome piston rods in various diameters for superior strength and performance under extreme conditions. Its micro-smooth operation, sintered iron pistons and guide rods enhance durability, while the self-sealed packing helps keep oil in and contaminants out. Seamless cylinders and eye rings also help eliminate weak points, contributing to longer service life, reliability and consistent performance.

When Should You Consider Replacing Your Shock Absorbers?
For general maintenance, KYB recommends considering shock absorber replacement around 50,000 km or 2 years, whichever comes first, depending on driving conditions and vehicle usage.
You should also inspect or consider replacement if you notice:
- Oil leakage around the shock absorber
- Excessive vehicle bouncing after passing bumps
- Uneven or rapid tyre wear
- Vehicle sagging or bottoming out when heavily loaded
- Excessive body roll during cornering or lane changes
- Reduced stability, comfort or driving control
